The most recently opened youth hostel in Christchurch, our building has had a colorful history as the former Addington Prison, and is a captivating, relaxing and fun place to stay!

We offer over 30 private rooms available as singles, doubles, twin bunks and dorms as well as some larger rooms that can be used by families or groups. Families very welcome, cot available.

Fully equipped new guest kitchen, wake up with great freshly made organic, fair-trade espresso coffee available from our coffee bar. Bicycle hire, Wifi available, Free DVD hire, Cinema room, TV and DVD in doubles, Free towels and linen with fully made-up beds.

We are located near to Hagley Park, Tranzalpine train (free shuttle TO the station available) and the Westpac Centre where many concerts and functions are held. You could walk, or it is a short bus ride to the centre of town. Free vehicle parking is available too.

WE WELCOME LATE NIGHT ARRIVALS, however if you are arriving after 10pm, please note that the reception is closed and the front door is locked, and so please contact us by phone or email to receive the front door code and instructions to your room.

From Christchurch airport we recommend you take SuperShuttle directly to door - they operate 24/7 from Christchurch Airport, freephones available at arrivals halls, costs NZ$17 for 1 person and $4 each extra person.
